Major Upgrade Notification

The Studentnet Support team would like to advise of a major upgrade to our GlobalSwitch datacenter infrastructure.

After 4 years in our current location, we will be moving our racks from level 4 of GS to level 6. Planning for the move has been underway since the beginning of the year.

During the actual move all of our datacenter services will be temporarily off line and unavailable to the Internet. Services from our offsite facilities (such as DNS) will not be affected.

The move is planned to start at 8pm on Friday 18th May, 2012. We expect the move to take about 4 hours with most services coming back on line well before the end of the move itself.

We will be contacting all of our customers to determine any special requirements for transferring and re-starting your service over the next two weeks. We look forward to your assistance and co-operation as we work through this major upgrade.
